I am filing this complaint against Jio (Reliance Jio InfoComm Ltd.) for the non-delivery of a SIM card that I purchased through their online platform on 16th July 2025. I made a payment of ₹349 for this service, and the order ID for the transaction is NO000154NSP9.
Despite several attempts to follow up, the SIM card has not been delivered even after 6 days. I contacted Jio’s customer care team multiple times and was falsely assured that the SIM would be delivered within 24 to 48 hours. However, I have not received any delivery or credible update.
To my shock, I am now being told to wait for up to 30 days for delivery, after which a refund may be issued. This response is not only unreasonable and unacceptable, but it also shows a complete disregard for customer rights. A SIM card, which is readily available at any physical Jio store in under an hour, is being withheld without valid justification even after full advance payment.
This delay has caused mental distress and inconvenience and reflects a clear case of deficiency in service and unfair trade practice under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
I hereby request the Hon’ble Forum to take appropriate action against Reliance Jio InfoComm Ltd. and direct them to:
Immediately deliver the SIM card as per the original order.
Alternatively, issue a full refund without further delay.
Consider awarding compensation for the harassment, inconvenience, and mental agony caused.
