I am writing this letter to bring to your attention the poor experience that I had with Zomato. On 6th April 2023, I ordered food items from hotel ‘Kanji Kadai’ [Order Number : worth over Rs.1000 from Zomato. However, when we received the order, we were shocked to find that we were given something else entirely. We immediately contacted the delivery partner, but he was very rude and stated that it is not his responsibility to check if the food order is correct. This kind of behavior from a delivery partner is unacceptable and unprofessional.
We tried contacting the customer care service of Zomato, but we were confronted with a chatbot that didn’t solve any of our problems. We requested a full refund for the food items that we had ordered since it was worth Rs. 1000. However, the chatbot only offered us the option of a refund of half the money that we had spent. We tried to contact a customer care executive, but we were not able to reach anyone despite the chatbot showing that they were directing the chat to a customer care executive.
This is not the first time we have experienced such poor service from Zomato. We have faced similar issues before, and we have always been disappointed by their customer service. We even tried to contact the restaurant, but they had not been attending any of our calls.
Therefore, we request you to take strict action against Zomato and ensure that they provide us with a full refund for the food items that we ordered. We hope that this issue will be resolved soon so that we do not have to face such issues again in the future.
