I subscribed to the Jio Fiber service one month ago, and Mr. Ajay Rawat, the salesman who sold me the package, promised me a 1-month free trial that was not available. I feel cheated and misled, and I am extremely disappointed with the service provided.
During the sales pitch, Mr. Ajay offered me the plan and features that he claimed were available with Jio Fiber. He promised me a 30 days trial of 150Mbps internet with unlimited data for free including installation at Rs.1500. However, after I agreed to subscribe to the service, he asked me to pay Rs.1970 claiming that paying more (1500+470) will get me a device voucher in MyJio app which can be further used if I need a set top box in future. I trusted him being the company representative and paid the amount he demanded. (i.e., Rs. 1970)
After my installation was done the next day, I realized that the plans and features he promised me were not available at all. My JioFiber was recharged with an FRC of Rs. 399 and the engineers who came for installation were not able to provide any answers to my questions.
Contacting Mr. Ajay was of no use as he straightforwardly asked me to cancel my Jio Fiber connection by contacting the customer care and ask them for the refund of Rs. 500 after paying a huge amount of Rs. 1970 to him, as nothing else can be done now, as per him.
Ultimately, when I contacted customer service to inquire about the stated plan, they informed me that the plan Rs. 1500 offered by the salesman was not available for my location, and despite that, there is no such plan which gives me any Set top box device voucher. I had been cheated and misled by the sales person. I am extremely unhappy with this experience and feel cheated.
Despite repeated follow-ups on email, and complaints there has been no satisfactory resolution or compensation provided. In Spite of getting a prompt resolution from their end, everytime I see that my complaint tickets are being closed without the issue even being addressed.
My first complaint, SR00001IBGDC, was closed without any resolution.
My 2nd Complaint, SR00001ILA3H, again closed without any resolution.
Then, I registered a 3rd complaint, SR00001IQX7O, and got this response:
“I have raised a service request (SR00001IQX7O) to escalate the issue to our concerned team and to get it resolved on priority.
The estimated resolution date for the service request is 24-March-2023 by 08:57:00 hours.
Rest assured, we are working diligently to address your issue at the earliest.”
Even after this assurance no one has contacted me yet(2nd April 2023), even after the deadline has passed.
And now, this ticket is also closed. No resolution… Nothing!
Still awaiting someone to contact me and provide me a valid compensation for the scam as well as the mental stress I’m facing and my work getting disturbed to a huge extent.
