Text of Complaint by Priyadarsini:

Respected Sir/Madam,

I am writing this complaint regarding my Samsung S22 Ultra mobile phone, which has developed a display defect. After updating the phone software, the display started showing three lines across the screen. This issue directly affects the usability of the phone.

The phone was purchased by my friend for me at a price of ₹70,000 (Rupees Seventy Thousand only). Such a defect in a premium product within a short period of use is highly disappointing and amounts to deficiency in service and product quality on the part of the company.

Despite regular care and maintenance, the defect occurred immediately after the official software update, which indicates that the issue is not due to mishandling but is linked to the company’s update.

I kindly request the Hon’ble Forum to direct the company (Samsung India) to:

1. Repair or replace the defective display free of cost, or

2. Provide a replacement handset of equal value, or

3. Refund the purchase price of ₹70,000.

I am also seeking appropriate compensation for the mental stress, inconvenience, and time loss caused due to this issue.

I request you to kindly consider my complaint and do the needful at the earliest.
