I would like to bring to your notice the incident that has happened this year again with my father. Since he keeps traveling outside India, this time again he requested to put his airtel sim ( +91 9872092016) on safe custody. He made a call to customer care before leaving for the airport (18th March 2019) and he was asked to clear all due amounts right away. He was given assurance on the phone that his number will be put on safe custody right away after the payment.
We had faced this issue last year also( this time he had gone to Airtel store in Mohali to made a request for Safe custody) when my father had come back to India all aloan after a few months of staying with us. Thinking that he can use his airtel sim as soon he lands( since he made a request at a store in Mohali before leaving), he gave his number to cab drivers, hotel guys, and our relatives. He had to do another arrangement right away at the Delhi airport with the help of localities. We were not able to contact him for a few days until he reached Chandigarh and made a complained at Airtel store in Mohali.
With this continuous mental harassment by Airtel team with our old non-tech savvy father and dissatisfactory services, all in reply he has received till now are the emails on 3-4 months bills amount. No confirmation messages or email on his requests made for safe custody.
