I am writing to lodge a serious complaint against De Feliz Vacation Private Limited, which is involved in a fraudulent vacation package scheme.
I visited Goa in July 2024, and on 23rd July 2024, I purchased a vacation package worth ₹3,00,000 from De Feliz Vacation Pvt. Ltd. (Purchase Agreement No: DGV/TG/6185). During the sales presentation, company representatives –Ajit, Om, and Siya – assured me that I would receive bookings at 4- or 5-star hotels, including chains like Novotel, Radisson Blu, Hyatt, etc.
The directors of De Feliz vacation pvt. ltd are SIDDHESH VASANT SALELKAR and SHRIMATI VASANT SALELKAR
The Issues Faced:
1.False Hotel Promises:
When I requested hotel bookings for my Dubai trip in October, I was given a list of substandard hotels. Upon requesting better options, I was told that only those low-grade hotels were available. Left with no option, I selected one from the list. The hotel turned out to be extremely poor in quality – smelly rooms, unhygienic environment, and nothing close to what was promised.
They never fulfill any of the promises made at the time I purchased package from them
2.Account Management Charges (AMC):
Initially, they clearly told me the AMC of ₹7,500 per year would be waived off if I provided referrals. I referred friends and relatives as requested. However, later they told me I would still need to pay the AMC to proceed with further bookings – completely violating what was assured verbally and not mentioned in the agreement.
3.Lack of Support and Communication:
They didn’t pick up my calls, and didnot reply my emails within standard time limit and later refused further assistance. When I tried booking for a domestic trip, they again demanded AMC payment, despite my referrals.
I have called and emailed them several times with no effective response. Their representatives (Ajit: +91-9673250263, Om: +91-9370457040, Siya) have stopped responding completely.
4.Scamming Pattern:
I later came to know through a WhatsApp group that many others have been scammed in a similar manner by this same company DE FELIZ VACATION PVT. LTD. in Goa. It has also been alleged that they have charged people’s credit cards without consent. Even after doing that to many people, this company is still in operation till now and scamming more and more people everyday
Summary of Complaint:
1.Fraudulent mis-selling of travel packages
2.Non-fulfillment of promised services
3.Deceptive practices regarding AMC
4.Lack of customer support and non-responsiveness
5.Mental harassment and financial loss
Request for Action:
I am requesting the Consumer Authority to:
1.Investigate De Feliz Vacation Pvt. Ltd. for fraudulent practices
2.Help me get a full refund after deducting the cost of 5 nights stay they did provide.
3.Take appropriate legal action against the individuals and the company for scamming tourist in Goa as these kinds of people are degrading Goa environment and safety
4.Ensure such scams are stopped so that other tourist do not face similar exploitation.The police should take strict action against them
I have attached relevant email communication records and screenshots as evidence of the above. I have many more emails and conversations.
Please take urgent action as this has caused me severe mental distress and financial hardship and help me get my hard earned money back.
