Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Amazon.in regarding a recent purchase I made on their platform. I ordered Oakley Rectangular Optical Frames on 14th June 2023, with Order No: 403-2696888-1848342. However, to my disappointment, I received a wrong frame of a different brand, Intellilens.

Upon realizing the error, I immediately contacted Amazon’s customer service and shared an image of the product I received as proof. I explained the situation and requested either a refund or a replacement for the correct product I initially ordered. However, Amazon’s response has been unsatisfactory and disappointing.

In their communication to me, Amazon cited my order history and claimed that I have received a high number of refunds or replacements for my previous orders. They stated, “Your order history shows that you have received a high number of refunds or replacements for your orders. We know that occasional problems with orders are expected in the normal course of business. In these instances, a refund or replacement may be issued.”

I would like to highlight that my previous interactions with Amazon’s customer service were due to genuine issues with their products or services, and I had followed their prescribed procedures for addressing those concerns. However, I find it unfair and unreasonable for Amazon to use my past legitimate claims as a justification to deny me the refund or replacement I am entitled to in this current situation.

Furthermore, despite numerous attempts to schedule a return and multiple calls to Amazon’s customer service, nobody has taken any action to collect the wrong product from me. This has left me feeling frustrated and helpless, as it seems I have lost the amount of 6759 INR without any fault of my own.

I believe that as a consumer, I have the right to receive the product I ordered and paid for. I have fulfilled my obligations as a customer by promptly notifying Amazon of the issue and providing supporting evidence. Therefore, I kindly request the intervention of the Consumer Court to help resolve this matter and ensure that I receive a refund for the wrong product delivered to me.

Enclosed with this letter, please find copies of the order confirmation, proof of the wrong product received, and any other relevant documentation related to this case.

I am hopeful that the Consumer Court will consider my complaint seriously and take appropriate action against Amazon.in. I look forward to a prompt resolution of this matter and receiving the refund I am entitled to.
