The Hon’ble Consumer Complaints Court

Subject: Complaint Against 99acres.com regarding refund for Misleading Assurances and Deficient Service

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Kumar Deep, would like to file a formal complaint against 99acres.com for providing misleading assurances and delivering highly deficient services. On 07/10/2025, I purchased their Assist Plus Subscription for ₹14,499 (Property ID: V83817926) to sell my house located at Ramkrishna Pally, Bhadreswar, District Hooghly, West Bengal – 712124.

At the time of purchase, I was assured that more than 40+ active buyers were looking for properties in my locality. This claim significantly influenced my decision to opt for the paid subscription. However, after activation, it became evident that the assurances were false. The service provided has been extremely poor, and I have not received any genuine buyer leads or meaningful assistance as promised.

Before making the payment, I received multiple persuasive calls from their representatives, but after the subscription was purchased, there has been almost no follow-up or support. It appears that the primary intention was to sell the plan rather than deliver the committed services.

Moreover, I was never informed about the ‘no refund’ policy before payment. This crucial information was withheld, amounting to an unfair trade practice. Even after sending several emails requesting a refund, the company continues to delay the matter—seemingly attempting to run out the three-month plan validity so they can later deny a refund.

It has now been over a month, and no representative has visited my property. The buyer details shared by the relationship manager were fake and fraudulent. Their team frequently ignores calls. Despite my subscription being active, I still receive repeated calls urging me to buy plans. On some calls, I am told that my property is not visible to buyers, whereas the relationship manager claims that everything is active. This clearly shows a pattern of misrepresentation and misleading conduct.

Such practices from a reputed real estate platform are unacceptable and unethical. I therefore request the Hon’ble Forum to kindly take appropriate action against 99acres.com for deficiency in service and misleading representations, and to direct them to refund the full amount of ₹14,499, along with suitable compensation for the mental agony and inconvenience caused.

Sincerely,
Kumar Deep
