I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from Prestige regarding the repair of my gas stove. I purchased the stove in February and it malfunctioned in April, posing a serious safety risk to me and my family. I registered a complaint with Prestige and received a service request number SR#: TIRU680752562901. After two days, a service engineer named Arjun came to my home to fix the stove.
He replaced the faulty knob and asked me to pay Rs.30 for it. I was surprised and unhappy with this charge, as the stove was very new and under warranty. I wanted to escalate the issue to his manager, but he was unavailable on the phone.
Then, without my permission, he went back to the kitchen and swapped the new knob with the defective one. He told me that the old knob was working fine and I did not have to pay anything. I tested the knob and found that it was loose and came off easily.
I felt cheated and insulted by his behavior. He tried to charge me for a part that should have been covered by the warranty, and then he tampered with my stove again. He did not apologize or explain his actions. He showed no respect or professionalism.
I request you to take appropriate action against Arjun and provide me with a proper resolution for this issue. I also expect an apology from Prestige for the inconvenience and distress caused by this incident. I hope you will value your customers and ensure quality service in the future.
