Text of Complaint by Parvathi Alias Revathy:

We, a group of 11 persons, sought Patna Airport crew support on 01.03.2023 for boarding us Patna to Chennai via Hyd., flight by 6.35 p.m. since two of us got sudden illness.

My child got sudden illness and took vomiting during the travel from Gaya to Patna Airport which made us to stop the vehicle at some places and informed the airport about this by referring our PNR that we would reach belatedly due to the health condition in such case please help us for boarding the flight. Unexpectedly my aunt started vomiting and felt unconscious when we were nearby airport. As per the Airport crew, we reached the airport by 6.11 p.m, as per our knowledge it was 6 p.m. whereas the flight time was 6.35 p.m. Even at the Airport entrance my child again took vomit which may be examined. We explained my aunt health condition, got wheel chair assistance and explained the airport crew about the sudden illness of her and helped us to board. They made us to explain to few people and finally denied the boarding and suggested to catch the next flight and led us to ticket booking counter. They said that the next flight was Patna to Chennai via Bangalore and the ticket fare was above 6 k.

We further suggested to speak with a consumer care no, Executives and authorities for nearly 45 minutes ultimately they denied for immediate concession and asked to write a mail for consideration. When we tried to book the ticket the next flight , it was said that it should have been done before 6.30 p.m. and again suggested to catch the next day flight 02.03.2023 by 2.20 p.m.

1. Prior intimation given to the Airport crew by 4 p.m regarding the health condition of my child and sought for help for boarding us to avoid the entire air ticket loss.

2. As per the Airport crew our reporting time was 6.11 p.m. we would have been considered based on medical ground for boarding since the illness happened unexpectedly.

3. Improper assistance of not mentioning anywhere for catching the next flight, the air tickets should be locked before 6.30 p.m. Even after several times we mentioned to help us to board the next flight by 8 p.m. with fare concession. At least that would avoid the Patna hotel stay and time delay.

4. Negligence by just given the customer care no and the call timing was nearly 45 minutes finally denied the next Air ticket fare concession and suggested for writing a mail. We insisted them to check the patient by your medical team then consider for fare concession since it was a group booking we would face entire Air tickets loss.

5. Two senior citizens, a child and a patient and we all left the airport by 10.p.m with more stress and booked a hotel at Patna for stay.

6. Two of us Connecting flight from Chennai to Tuticorin Rs.7,740, refund initiated by them for Rs.1,240 and Patna Hotel Rs. 13,500 and fresh Air tickets for Patna to Chennai via Bangalore
on 02.03.2023 for Rs.79,000. overall costs Rs. 1,00,000.

We wrote a mail for refund as they suggested but they denied by mentioning we entered by 6.11 p.m. as per their time.

I have herewith attached the Medical Certificate got from the Patna Airport Medical Practitioner and Patna Hotel stay bills.

If we are considered genuine and right please help us for the compensation.
