My name is Mohit Mehta and I have a debt of Rs.52,970/- with home credit, which I was unable to pay for a long time. My loan account number is 3614297005. On 21 Nov 22 I received a call from 9540346995 and the lady over the phone said she is calling from Allahabad high court and about to forward my case in front of court under section IPC 420 and wanted me to call an advocate named Sunil Sharma at 09540369103. She said call him in 15 minutes else within 2 days you will be arrested under the mentioned section of IPC. When I asked to proceed with the litigation, she started abusing me and threatened me to send goons at my place of residence. They never disclosed the name of the agency they are calling from but mentioned they are calling on behalf of Home Credit. They have called my friends and relatives and said I have committed a fraud and now I am wanted by them.
Sir, I understand that the debt needs to be paid but I am the only earning member in my family living with my mother, so I have some responsibilities on me and I am performing them with my best of my efforts. Now, I am doing well in my professional career. I missed those payments because of the sudden demise of my father and after that I could not work for 1 year but now me and my family have recovered from that loss. I am not married because I have decided to pay all my debt first. I have a debt with SBI too and i am making payments on it and in the month of January i will be done with SBI and from February onwards i will start paying on this debt and by August 2023 this debt will also be cleared. I had another debt with HDFC which I already cleared in 2019. I have done nothing wrong to be treated in this manner and they already ruined m y credit and now I am working 13 hours shift just to make my credit healthy again. I am making this commitment to you that every single penny will be paid by Aug 2023 but meanwhile I need help to deal with these collection agencies because I am mentally stressed due to their behavior. Home Credit is not hiring collection agencies but, in a way, they are hiring goons to recover their money.
