I’m a 21 year old girl who recently shifted to Bangalore. I’ve been living in Colive sunrise Mahadevpura for almost a month now. I booked it online when I was home but I have to shift to Bangalore because of my work. When I got here they gave me a store room to stay in. After I kept persuading them to give me a private room for which I had paid money for, they gave me a room which looked fine first. I shifted to that room on 1st February. Starting days I saw a few cockroaches but I got rid of them myself but I didn’t understand the severity of the situation. Day by day they started growing more and it was difficult to walk in the room without stepping on at least 3 cockroaches. I notified the manager and filed a service request for pest control immediately but there was no response. I kept calling them everyday to get rid of the insects but at one point they starting speaking to me in a very rude manner and kept cutting my calls. One day I noticed my back is itching a lot nowadays and I checked and saw rashes and bites all over it. I asked someone to help me pick up the mattress and I saw a hoard of cockroaches, insects and even a few bedbugs living underneath my mattress where I sleep. I notified the manager and higher authorities of Colive but they didn’t respond. Me and some acquaintances helped me get rid of some of those insects on my bed. It has been 2 weeks and no response. When I tried raising a notice period for shifting out they said that’s not possible and they can’t provide that because it can be raised only on the 1st of each month. But I had shifted that month itself and I didn’t know the severity of this problem. They are practically forcing me to stay in that room for another month. I’ve fallen ill in this one month almost 3 times till now and I request someone to please assist me getting my deposit back. The manager is very rude and I’m scared to speak to him. Other staff at Colive and not helping me in any way. They have stopped responding and the guy that I got this room from has blocked me after yelling at me. Is there any way to file a complaint? I don’t want anything to do with them anymore I just want to leave this place with my deposit.
