I was searching for a PG accommodation for a 15-day stay in Bangalore. During my search, I inquired about Colive and received a call from Mohit regarding their property in Electronic City named Cairo. I clearly communicated to Mohit that I needed lodging for only 15 days. However, he informed me that I would have to pay for the entire month which is 11000.
Although I reluctantly agreed to pay for the full month, Mohit also requested a one-month deposit which will be not refundable, essentially meaning I needed to pay one month’s rent and a non-refundable deposit.
After a few minutes in the call, suddenly, his stance changed, and he assured me that I would receive the deposit back. I reiterated my requirement to stay for only 15 days. He said yes, I will get the entire deposit back. I was charged 2000 rupees as an advance booking fee through the Colive app.
Upon my arrival in Bangalore, I informed him of my presence at the property. Mohit then informed me that I needed to pay for the current month (August)11k, the deposit 11k, and the rent for the next month(september) 11k which is a 3 months of rent just to stay 15 days in the property, ie 33k
I was taken aback by the revelation that I had to pay three months’ worth of rent for a 15-day stay at Colive. It became evident that this individual was engaging in fraudulent behavior and needed to learn a lesson. He spoke to me rudely and is now avoiding my calls.
I want my money back asap.
