I have purchased a lava mobile phone thru amazon on 28/8/2023 (invoice attached), at the time of purchase amazon offer extension warranty plan for oneassist company along with this product for warranty extension, Because the manufacturer’s warranty is for 1 year, I purchased this plan(invoice attached) along with the device so that if any issues arise in the second year, they can be covered through the extended warranty plan because extension warranty plan had to be activated after the device manufacturer’s warranty, which is for 1 year.
28/8/2023 to 27/8/2024 Manufacturer warranty
28/8/2024 to 28/8/2025 (Covers under extension warranty plan)
On May 12th, I noticed that my phone’s battery was draining without using, after which I noticed this 7-8 days, and when I confirmed that it was indeed the phone’s battery has draining , I shared the entire matter on the company’s online site on May 20th to repair my phone
At that time, I was very surprised when on the 21st I received a call from the OneAssist company informing me that my claim has been rejected (non-admissible) due to delay in claim intimation (Screen shoot and email attached). When I asked about this, they told me that the claim must be reported within 48 hours of the accident. I then asked them why this was not mentioned when purchasing the plan, to which they replied that they had sent the terms and conditions message to my mobile, and I should have read it. Even though I did not receive any message from the company regarding terms and condition. Along with this, I told them that batteries do not get damaged all of a sudden, it is not possible to determine the this problem immediately. Therefore, I checked at my end 7-8 days ago, and when I confirmed that the phone’s battery was draining, I filed a claim.
But they were not satisfied with the arguments made by me and they rejected my claim. Actually, they don’t want to give the claim, that’s why they have deliberately looked for a reason to reject my claim.
