Text of Complaint by Nitesh Singh:

With utmost regret, I want to state my association with Airtel from the last two years has gone in the stake. I have been using Airtel Postpaid connection from last two years and registered my phone with Airtel Secure. The procedure to register in Airtel Secure was to submit the IMEI number and I was informed my device is insured. I was paying for the Insurance Rs 49 Monthly. Now my claim is void because the invoice is in the name of my mother in law. I  have paid for the phone through my credit card of which I have substantial proof. Only thing was it was delivered in my mother in law address henceforth name in the bill is the same as of the delivery address. Unaware of the fact and neither it was mentioned in the Terms and conditions of Airtel Secure that invoice of the mobile should be in the name of the insured person.
My only question to Airtel is if my device was not eligible for insurance then why I was not informed at the time of registration. My money for paying insurance amount would be saved and repair cost of my phone. I would have opted for insurance from other company as well.
Registration of documents takes place at the time of insurance, not at the time of cover. It is difficult to comprehend such poor service on Airtel part.
