Text of Complaint by Yadhu Shaji:

I applied for a loan on MoneyTap App lender Cholamandalam Finance of Rs.15000/- on October 2023 (loan agreement MTPLMTDB000006962531), but, due to a processing error from their side, I received the amount twice (Rs. 27522) and was asked by their team to repay the excess amount through a payment link (Razorpay)

I repaid the excess amount of Rs.13775/- on Friday (03.11.2023) as soon as I received my salary through the payment link they provided and mailed them the screenshot of the transaction and my Bank Statement as well.

My bank (Kotak Mahindra Bank) has locked my account balance of Rs. 27522 and has not released the funds even after I repaid the excess amount Unless my funds are released, I’m unable to repay EMIs and other payments

I sent a follow-up mail after follow-up mail to Cholamandalam Finance with the mail ID provided by them ([email protected], [email protected]) I have not received any response from them to date. My bank will not release the funds until I receive a confirmation from the finance team’s side. The finance team is not responding to me at all, I’m stuck and don’t know what to do
