Respected Sir/Madam,
I am Dr Karan Bhatia from Lucknow. My wife , Dr Jigisa Tripathy – daughter of ex DGP Chennai and present Chief Information Commissioner, and I got in touch with Livspace roughly 2 months back. We had a project which was promised to be delivered within 30 days – primarily comprising of a wardrobe and an ante room.
1. The marketing person visited our place, gave us very high promises and made an initial BOQ of 3,70,000 and pressurised us to pay the booking amount of 50,000 immediately to proceed further
2. Once the booking amount was paid, after a detailed meeting with the Operation Consultant – Syed Sajid and team, the BOQ was doubled to 6,29,376. Which is utterly unfair because we assumed the work would be complete within 3,70,000 and were comfortable paying that price
3. After a lot of compromise we decided to go ahead with a BOQ of 4,47,117. In the process the team kept making additions which were overlooked by them before making the final BOQ and said we need to spend more. This is irresponsibly from their side
1- on our initial meeting we were promised a glass roof but when the contractor visited said it wouldn’t be a good idea to do so and we had to then change the plan. This was 2 months after we had started the project and inspite of multiple site visits by the civil engineer – Shayaq who couldn’t recognise this earlier and we had to compromise on our plan
2- we were promised a sound proof partition floor – which is utterly useless since we are able to hear all voices.
3- the switchboard mentioned in the BOQ and that which was installed were 2 different brands. The switchboard was completely non aligned and slopping. We weren’t given any options of colour or choice etc before installing the switchboard
4- there was a time period of nearly 15 days when no work was done and we were just kept waiting.
After 2 months of mental agony and complete disregard for your customers – we have decided to withdraw from the project. We had paid a total of 2.5 lakhs. On conversation with Mr Rehan- lucknow incharge, he agreed to return 1lakh and charge 1.5 lakh for the remaining project when in reality the work done is less than 1lakh.
We have suffered tremendously the last 2 months spending hours each day fighting with frauds. We feel cheated.
1. The quality of material is very bad
2. The work ethic has been pathetic – many times our messages and phone calls wouldn’t be answered by the team.
3. What was promised to happen in 30 days – is still not complete and 2 months have passed. Making our living space unusable and unliveable
4. It has compromised our mental peace and affected our work considerably
