I had Tata Sky DVR setup box which I purchased last year for around 12k rupees. Tata sky provided me with Tata Sky Binge Fire stick last year itself, but I was facing some issue with the fire stick remote. So I made a request to the customer care for the remote replacement. Promptly the technician appear next day itself. He suggested to upgrade the existing DVR setup box with Tata sky binge +, as for remote I have to pay 2k rupees instead I should upgrade the setup box which will be only for 2.5k rupees. Multiple times I asked the technician if the recording facility of available in this new set box, and he confirmed that all the functionalities of DVR is present in the new setup box and further all the OTT apps from fire stick is also present in this new box. I believed him and made a mistake by not verifying the functionalities in front of the technician. The amount got deducted from a/c plus the technician took away my DVR setup box + fire stick. Further he also told be that I would be receiving a video in my WhatsApp demonstrating the functionalities of the new box, which never happened. In the evening I tried to test the functionalities and found that this box does not have recording facility + Netflix is also not supported in this version. I tried calling the technician. He picked and as soon as he recognized me, he disconnected the call. Second day also I tried calling him. He picked and heard my complaint without saying anything and disconnected the call.
Then I called the customer care and registered the complaint. No use next day they called and told nothing can be done. My original setup box + fire stick cannot be returned as the box has been upgraded (actually for me it was a degrade).
Then I contacted nodal office and registered the complaint. They took five days and reverted back with same answer not possible. I have asked with to take back there new so called upgraded setup box and refundĀ the payment of 2.5k which I had paid for the box. Till now I have not received any response from nodal office.
Now I don’t know where should I go to make further request to get back my money.
From a company like Tata I was not at all expecting such a cheating. The only reason for selecting Tata Sky was it was a product Tata.
Hope somebody will see my complaint and act on it.
