We had purchased a flat worth almost Rs.40,00,000. Flat number- A1-03-29 in GM Orchid Enclave Project, from GM INFINITE BUILDERS AND DEVELOPERS, Bearing RERA no.- PRM/KA/RERA/1251/308/PR/190125/002304 in October of 2019. We have taken up a loan of Rs.30,00,000 out of which Rs.13,00,000 has been dispersed to the builder.
After continuous delays citing reason such as COVID, the delivery date was extended and set to be 2024 instead of the promised 2023, however, at the start of July 2024 they sent us a email stating that the project was cancelled and we would be refunded with the appropriate interest of 8.5% PA.
A mail with Full and Final calculation was sent to us in June of 2024. Since then they have been delaying the refund citing various reasons- since June till October, they still are not sure when they will refund us. We are paying EMI of our home loans with a 9% rate of interest – Rs. 35,000 every month for no reason when we do not have a home to our name.
Please make the builder return our funds as soon as possible.
