I recently came across a YouTube channel named StockTakk(https://www.youtube.com/c/StockTakk), seemingly dedicated to providing stock investment tips. The channel boasts a significant number of subscribers, creating an illusion of credibility. However, upon further investigation, I discovered a Telegram channel(https://t.me/stock_tak_official) linked in the YouTube about section: Stock Tak Official.
This Telegram channel, allegedly run by the owner of StockTakk, is filled with fake screenshots and videos portraying happy customers who claim to have doubled or tripled their investments. Skeptical, I delved deeper into this individual and found multiple channels created by him and his group, all aimed at deceiving unsuspecting individuals.
Upon reaching out for more information, the person behind StockTakk provided Aadhar card, PAN card, and a SEBI certificate belonging to a supposed manager named Kirti Aswani. He claimed to operate from a physical office in Pune, asserting that their group is a registered broker.
I decided to test the waters by investing 10k via UPI (kvbupiqr.105000000010109@kvb) under the name Biswajit Paul. The individual promised lucrative returns within 6-8 hours, claiming to invest in cryptocurrency and the forex market.
When I requested a return of my money, the scammer asked for a 30% commission to be paid to his manager for the withdrawal to proceed. Sensing foul play, I refused to make any further payments.
The scammer then fabricated various reasons, making it difficult for me to withdraw until I paid more. He even sent fake screenshots of a fraudulent app, which I later identified as FakeCryptoInvestor(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.useful.fakecryptoinvestor).
Further investigation revealed that the Aadhar card and PAN card provided by this individual matched with over 30 complaints registered against him on Consumer Complaints Court. The total amount lost by victims exceeds 30 lakhs.
