I have purchased Voltas AC in one of the authorized retail store (Bajaj Electronics) here in Hyderabad in May 2020 which is exactly when the lockdown was initially opened for businesses.
The installation took after a week of purchase. After using the product for 15 days, we observed a bad smell coming from the AC and we raised a complaint. The technician visited the house and he did some workaround by spraying some freshner on the copper coil which is present in the inner unit. The same smell was observed within two days and it was most horrible during the first 10 minutes. Then I called the technician again, he replaced the copper coil in the inner unit under warranty.
The same thing happened again after 3 months when we wanted to use the AC. I called the technician again by raising a complaint. The manager here in the office located in my area said that he is gonna arrange a copper coil (without chemical inside) and promised there won’t be any issues in future. This time, we have gone ahead for copper coil replacement for the second time. After that, we didn’t get a chance to use the AC during the non-summer.
This year i.e., 2022, we started using in early March because of excess heat and the same bad smell is started coming from the AC for the third time. We raised a complaint again with number 22040723347 and the technician again did some spraying promising that the smell won’t come again. But in 2 days, the smell become even worse.
I haven’t given the resolution code to close the service request yet but somehow, they closed the complaint without informing me. We have decided that we don’t want to go for a replacement this time as the smell would occur again considering the last two replacements.
We called the Manager here who promised that this smell won’t show again didn’t answer my call even after calling multiple times.
Hence, I’m requesting you to look into this matter and arrange a resolution at the earliest.
