Sir, in Virar West area auto Rickshaw were charging Rs 12/ person before covid and they use to take 4 persons for a distance of 2.6 KM.
During covid they started taking Rs 20/person and they use to take only 2 person , which we all appreciated.
After covid they have resumed taking 4 persons but they are still charging Rs 20/ person , which is double the charge .
Basically they are charging Rs 80 for a distance of 2.6 KM .
This thing should be rectified, auto Rickshaw in Virar West are charging as they think.
Please look into the matter, as people here have started looking for other options , it will ultimately affect auto Rickshaw drivers business.
People use Auto Rickshaw because it is cheap as compared to other means and it should be fitted with meter .
