I had applied for a loan of Rs. 2,00,000/- in 22-8-2022 from online application called Monzo. I had uploaded my Aadhaar and updated my Bank details. I have also e signed in a contract given by the app.
When I had contacted customer care of Monzo they are saying we will not provide loan for customers who don’t have account in Monzo Bank also it is UK based Bank.
I had contacted the customer care number given in app which I had downloaded they are saying to deposit 5%. I told am not interested to get the loan so they are like even if you don’t pay 5%, the EMI will be deducted from your bank account provided.
Some people are using foreign bank name and doing frauds in India.
I kindly request to investigate on same.

Without signing Nash form they cant deduct Emi or anything so no worries but they got your infos .

INFORM YOUR BANK TO NOT PROCESS AUTO DEBIT FROM THIS APP & COMPLAIN THIS ISSUE IN CYBER CRIME
No it is not solved… I have withdrawn all the money left in the bank account given… Currently not using the account which I had updated in the fraud app…
Did any one called u regarding this repayments
I too done the same thing in that fraud app….. 1st month it showed that repayment date on Aug 10 and again I checked on Aug 11, it showed sep 10th, but no signature on the application that time…….but I didn’t receive any call or mail from them….next what I did is removed all the permission in my phone and uninstalled it……

Shyam raj..i also used this aap. Do i need to close that account.will the emi amount be deducted if i continue with the account. Please reply asap. I am really tensed…please help. Already short of money..i cant afford thus fraud at this point of time.
I too had applied on this app. Now they are asking for 5% of loan amount to avail the loan or 10% of loan amount for cancellation as per the loan document. How to get out of it…please reply asap. Will consumer court complaint help in this? They are threatening me with legal action..and tild me that police will come to your place and convict you on this. Need early resolution…sarnaya and shyamraj please revert.
I had directly contacted the original monzo via email… They said thay have no branch in India and also they do not offer loan to non customer or non citizen of UK…
If at all they contact you say the same that you had contacted monzo…

To have a Monzo account you do need to be a UK resident which you would not qualify for if you weren’t living in the UK.
If you aren’t a Monzo customer we wouldn’t offer you a loan or any Monzo products – and we would never contact our customers through social media or WhatsApp. Only through the in-app chat or through our @monzo email address.
We would also never ask for an advance or fee for you to pay! You may need to contact your local law enforcement to investigate this.

Hi Meenakshi I got in trouble with this monzo app, have your emi deducted from your account automatically?
Without signing Nash form they cant deduct Emi or anything so no worries but they got your infos .But they wont detect anything without back so no worries.

What I did was I withdrawn all the amount from the account which I had updated in that app and removed all the permission and uninstalled the app…
My suggestion dont deposit any amount to the account which you have updated in the fraud app… Remove all the permission and uninstall the app…

Hi Kapildev inform your bank to cancel the auto debit from the monzo name,bank will immeditely stop auto debit & complain to cyber crime about this fraud app and this is not original MONZO app,i confirmed with uk based monzo via twitter they said they dont have service in india…
Please I’m into this same problem, but I’m from Nigeria, and this monzo loan app is asking me to deposit 5% of the loan value before I can withdraw my loan from the app,
