I purchased a new iPhone 13 from Croma on 11 April 2022. However a few months later, the phone’s Bluetooth and Wifi stopped working. I took the phone to an Apple service centre, from where it was sent to Bangalore. Apple denied repairing my phone citing “unauthorised modification” The thing to note here is that my phone was still in warranty when this all happened and I had no reason to repair my phone from a third party technician who would charge me thousands of rupees. Since my phone was in warranty I knew Apple would repair it for free. I tried talking to the customer service a lot of times but they all said nothing could be done. The last time I went to the service centre they told me it would cost 35000 to get it repaired. I also purchased one year extended warranty but they say that they have voided my warranty. I never took my phone to any third party technician and still Apple has denied me my right to get my phone repaired for free under warranty. It has almost been one year and I have been using my expensive Rs 75,000 phone without Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It has caused me a lot of mental stress and a lot of extra money in mobile data pack recharges.
