Amity University Degree Denial/ Extension
MY STORY-
2019-2022 Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication I still haven’t gotten my degree.
I am a transfered student in Amity University Online, from Amity University, Noida. I transferred after my 2nd semester.
My 1+ year has been wasted by amity university as because of its online error in project submission I was first told the reason of not passing, and after submitting it in my extension, also I have been constantly emailing and going to the online headquarters in regards to my 1st and 2nd semester marks updation, I am not given any solution or answer and now told I will have to wait for more 6 more months to give my exams of 4 subjects that weren’t covered in my campus after shifting to online, In my transfer letter it is mentioned that those exams were supposed to be conducted in 3rd and 4th semester.
My concern at this moment is out of frustration that even though I have been emailing the support team about my marks updation for past 6 months and visiting, No one looked into it or even answered us
1st) I wasn’t told all these months that I could have utilized to give an exam last month- June 2023
2nd) The papers should have been assigned to me in my 3rd and 4th semester admit cards themselves but they have no proof if they were. Or record what so ever.
And even though I remember of giving exams of 2 subjects but they have no results of it in there system!!!
I was earlier also made to put extension fees because they said I didn’t upload my project, after 6months when I tried to submit my project I realized that the mistake wasn’t mine and it was their portal not working properly, at the end I had to reach out to the support team personally and sent them my project through email which they after wards submitted FROM THEIR BACKEND , hence I wasted my 6 months and extension fees first there and then now also I am told that I will have to wait for 6 more moths to give my exams?
Here are my key frustrations:
1️⃣ Lack of information: I was not informed about the possibility of taking exams last month (June 2023) and could have utilized that time to progress in my studies.
2️⃣ Missing records: The promised exams for the 3rd and 4th semesters were not assigned to me, and there is no evidence or documentation proving their inclusion.
3️⃣ Portal malfunction: I was wrongly charged an extension fee due to a project submission error caused by the university’s portal malfunction. After six months of struggle, I had to personally reach out to the support team and submit my project via email. Yet, I am still being asked to wait for another six months to take my exams.
Hence now I cannot pursue for higher education!
