I tried and tried to submit the book cover to KDP but it kept throwing up a strange message preventing the submission of my cover. This is the error message: Your cover contains placeholder images and/or text. Please go to step 2 “Style and edit” and remove all placeholder text and/or images to continue. I tried everything under the sun, but the error message kept popping up. Even earlier, Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing formatting features were not working properly. Also, Amazon ads never returned more than 40k Rs I had in my wallet after cancelling my account. They lied to me that a refund is not available and then gave a list of documents for refund including my bank account statement, which I obviously couldn’t give. So, they closed the case and kept my money. The ad services were also abysmal.
