Text of Complaint by Yogendra Ray:

I am a subscriber of Your Plan: Airtel-UL-Xstream Value 499 Unlimited GB (40Mbps/1024Kbps) COMBO PLAN under which I can make FREE, both unlimited, LOCAL and STD CALLS. But they charge for certain numbers termed as PREMIUM NUMBERS. I did insist on giving those PREMIUM NUMBERS so that I could avoid calling them. They said that they do not have.

IS IT POSSIBLE? If so, how do they charge for those Numbers.
Thus, AIRTEL FLAUNTS,: trai notification dated 6 th january 2012,

“in order to ensure that a consumer is aware of the charges payable for availing such services, the regulations prescribe that in case of prs, the consumer should be informed of the charges for such service before materialisation of the call and in case of value added service, he should receive, before activation of such service, information about the charges, validity period and the procedure to unsubscribe from the service.”
