I am a student residing in Guwahati, Assam. Few days ago, my airtel xtreme fiber connection went off. I wondered why until I saw a message from airtel that services are down due to technical issues and that it’ll be resolved by around 8 pm. I felt relieved. I received another text, saying that it is expected to be resolved by 10pm. Nothing. Next day, I got another text saying it’ll be resolved by 8 am and then again at 1pm noon. Since then I haven’t received one text from Airtel and my internet connection still isn’t up yet. Went to the thanks app to raise a complaint(service request), someone called the very next hour. He asked where I lived, I gave him my complete details, but he, without my knowledge, ended the call. i range hin multiple times but didn’t recieve. Till now, I have made service request for the third time, again, he didn’t answer my call. As a last resort, I rang the Airtel executive who did my xtreme fiber connection. He’s a friendly guy (driven by my initial impressions). I told him about the issue, he said its a technical issue and that my connection will be up soon. But it was 2 days already and it isn’t fixed yet. 2 days may not seem much for common people. But I am an aspiring student. I have my classes going on regularly, but due to the pathetic customer care service, my productivity has been extremely low. Moreover, cellular data isn’t fast enough in my area. Hardly 800KBp/s.
