I am using Airtel postpaid simcard service from Past 20 Years. My monthly plan is 399+GST. Recently on 24th April 2023, I had been to the place called “Dawki”, Arunachal Pradesh State of India (Indo-Bangladesh Border) for a Tour.
During the visit, I received a message from Airtel stating that “You do not have International roaming pack active on your Airtel Mobile 96………. & your usage for today has
reached Rs.649”. But I did not go out of India. I called the Airtel call center and they booked the complaint and in response, they informed us that the Issue will be resolved within 2 working days.
(Complaint Reference No.31-4739012905366). On 6th May, I received a message that, it is taking more time than expected and rest assured we are on the job. Again on 10th May I received a message that the complaint is resolved. on the same date (10th May 2023), I received another message that The bill of Rs. 765 is due and to avoid disconnection please pay immediately. On visiting Airtel office to know the status and the airtel person showed it in Airtel app only. Shockingly its not just 765, my outstanding charges were increased to Rs.1845.13. Inspite of number of follow ups since past 40days, there is still no resolution from the Airtel team. I am requesting them to reverse the charges which are charged un-ethically by Airtel team. How can India land be considered as international by Airtel?
