  1. true. And there *121*51#, this no. isn’t working well also. I recharged just just Rs. 10, and the validity didn’t increase. I am not sure even if after paying Rs. 35 or more it will. I read one article which suggested about taking unlimited packages which starts at Rs. 199. It is a complete blow to the rural people!

  2. I have also received this message today. please help. This is Injustice by Airtel. Just trying to loot people. It should bury itself and close the company if it is not able to cope up with Jio.

  3. I have also received the same message on my Vodafone number. The Vodafone store said that, there will be no lifetime validity on any sim number and this rule will be applicable for all telecom operators. They said, we have to recharge with validity packs to get our incoming and outgoing service working. This is really difficult for dual SIM users.

  4. I have also not only received this message from idea, but my outgoing has been stopped also. This means that when companies need to sell their sim cards, they make shameless promises and then back out of them openly looting the public as and when required. I wonder if we are living in free India or there is still British Rule, because there is no action, let it be TRAI or anyone else. I appeal to all people to boycott such companies and raise voice against this open loot. Let the numbers get cancelled, buy new Sims, shift to other companies like BSNL,file complaints in consumer forums or find other wayouts to teach such companies a lesson. This will be a shame on government of India,if it doesn’t take any action against this open violation of law and an open day time loot. When a company has given me a lifelong validity of which I have sufficient proofs, how dare it stop my phone. I personally am approaching to consumer Court.

  5. Airtel is a big cheater and a very big lover they don’t even revert to a mail, then I have write a mail to following email id and received the revert which is below, we should all stop services of Airtel then they will realise.

We tried to reach you on 9xxxxxxx with undersigned date 21st December 2018. However, we were unable to establish a contact with you as there was no response. We would appreciate if you could write back to us stating your alternate contact number and we would be glad to assist you.

Further, we would like to inform that all our recharges are compliant with TRAI’s regulation.

We would like to inform you that, your current tariff validity will be your number validity (07-01-2019). Outgoing call services will be stopped for your number once the current pack validity expires.

Once your outgoing services are stopped due to no validity available in your number, you will have 15 days for getting the recharge done, post which all the services also will be suspended. This means your incoming as well as outgoing services will be stopped.

Now you need to recharge available recharge vouchers to continue enjoying the services.

You need to recharge with minimum Rs.23 or more with unlimited/ smart combo voucher for extension of validity to ensure uninterrupted services. If you do not recharge and there is balance available in your main talk time then automatically Rs.23 will be deducted post one day of validity expiration extending the validity for 28 days.
