Text of Complaint by Sravan Kumar D:

I have bought Airtel Back package for DTH+Broadband in March 2022. After having frequent net outages and delayed responses to issues, I could not get the Broadband service for 5 days completely and hence moved to another provider to make sure my office work is not impacted. I have called Airtel customer care and asked them to immediately disconnect my connection as i do not want to use and also avoid unnecessary bill generation. They did ask me to pay the outstanding bill + current usage for month of July 2022 and addressed me that they have raised a disconnection request from their side. I was waiting for some one from Airtel team to take back the device and also confirm me the disconnection. I was called by Airtel team in the month of August 2022 and requested that I have outstanding amount of 1700 Rs INR and wanted me to pay it before initiating the disconnection request (Why was this not done earlier, when I did pay all debts?) , I resisted paying any further due to the fact that I did not use services and requested for timely disconnection. They heard my pain and waved off my bill to 400RS INR and mentioned that they would consult their Account teams to wave off the rest. They did mention that they would raise disconnection request. Now , today (Sep 14th 2022), was called by Airtel team again and informed that their is outstanding amount – 2200 RS (Along with current months – bill) and was asked to pay half amount to initiate the disconnection request otherwise, this would continue so on and so forth. Airtel is unnecessarily penalizing customers for services not served better and unused service as well and would need help to disconnect my service without any charges for me as i am not using it any more
