Text of Complaint by Deepa Rajagopal:

I have requested Airtel since last year to provide us a new SIM for our phone number. The number is from Delhi circle and we are now stationed in Bangalore. We require the number for my parents who are senior citizens and elderly and have all aadhar and account linked to the number. Airtel is advising us to travel to Delhi to collect the SIM! Amidst local lockdown and Covid 19 pandemic we are expected to take a trip to Delhi to receive a SIM. I HAVE REPEATEDLY MENTIONED MY PARENTS ARE ELDERLY. WE HAVE RELOCATED TO BENGALURU. WE NEED THE NUMBER AS ALL OUR CARDS ARE LINKED TO THAT NUMBER. WE HAVE NO BLOOD RELATIONS IN DELHI. MY PARENTS OR WE CANNOT TRAVEL TO DELHI DURING LOCKDOWN. HOW CAN AIRTEL BE SO INCONSIDERATE TO JUST SEND THE SAME REPETITIVE EMAILS. VERY EASILY THE SIM CAN BE GENERATED AND POSTED TO OUR ADDRESS IN BENGALURU IF THE INTENT WAS TO HELP.
Yesterday I posted this complaint and today it has been deleted and no trace of it.
In the name of customer service it seems like Airtel is harassing senior customers. Kindly help us to receive the SIM from airtel for our number and send the SIM to our Bangalore address.
