About a week ago my Airtel SIM card with number 9831792453 suddenly shut down without any reason. It is either showing “No Service” or “Emergency Calls Only”. After such thing was showing, I still waited for 2 days but no improvement. So, I went to the Airtel Express Service Centre in Garia,[Store name- 3G Zone, ADDRESS- 104/B, Raja S. C. Mullick Road, Helpline- 9831316660/ 9831317770, Email- 3G.zone@in.airtel.com ]. The first thing I absolutely hated the most is their behaviour. They were treating me as if they were doing me a favour. They didn’t show any sort of concern for helping their customer. First without even properly hearing out my problem with jumped to the conclusion and suggested me getting a duplicate SIM. Since this number was registered under my mother’s name, she had to be present in the store for Live photo documentation. My Mother’s health is clearly not in good state but she still came because of no choice. For your information, I got this Sim nearly 7 years back. That time the only documents needed were voter card Xerox and passport size photo. After I gave all the necessary documents and after getting the SIM, they said It will be activated in 6hrs which unfortunately didn’t. That was another harassment. When I reached them again, they said the live photo of the SIM owner didn’t match with that of the Voter card. I mean seriously ?? How do you expect the photo of a voter ID which was taken 23 years ago match with someone’s live face today. Their excuse was that their system did not match the photo, hence SIM SWAP cannot happen. I mean, first they have this pathetic customer handling attitude and now because of their faulty system I won’t be able to save my number. They didn’t even gave any assurance for saving my number, I mean why not..?? It’s their company’s SIM and they can’t even save a simple number and that to because of their faulty system. I had to visit that store with my ill mother for more than 4 days and all they did was just take a photo of the Voter card and live capture and send it for matching. Neither I saw them try to contact their higher ups, neither they showed any sign of customer assurance commitment. Me and my mother were sitting their like idiots, and watching them doing chit chat and gossiping. All they did was make me spend for 2 SIM cards (₹50) and it was a total waste of my money and I didn’t get any refund for that. I have been using this Airtel number for more than 7 years and I have never been this much dissatisfied with their service. For your information I already had swaped my Airtel number once before in 2017. That time I didn’t have to face any problem. But why do I have to go through such harassment this time ?? Do Airtel really care for their customer..?? Their service center staff didn’t show that.  I am attaching the Bill along…
