Text of Complaint by Balachandar S:

I have initiated a claim of my mobile under airtel secure claim which got liquid damage and the claim got rejected stating Improper Handling. The Scenario was when I was cooking in my home the mobile slipped away from my hand and fell down into a water tub, as no external force/ actions occurred, This could be an unintentional drop. As per the insurance policy, I’m eligible for a claim under unintentional drop clause as attached below. But the airtel secure team doesn’t have any valid point to reject my claim and they keep on saying that external actions / force required for a damage, But in the insurance they clear mentioned it as “Accidental Damage mean damage to the covered product due to unintentional drop or collision of the covered product or any object falling on the covered product or due to accidental external means.” And they way treating the customer was humiliated me when I talking to their associate, he/she suddenly disconnecting the call and they are not ready to listen what customer is trying to say! I’m went through really a bad mental stress because of this felt humiliated. Attached airtel secure Insurance plan for the reference.
