Dear Sir,
I had purchased my airtel sim 5 years back in 2014 with lifetime validity offer. According to this offer, the validity of my sim card should be 2042 without any recharge or minimum balance. Suddenly, Airtel along with Vodafone( Idea) and Docomo decided in October 2018 to change the rules of validity for new as well as existing users and enforce mandatory monthly recharge for all users. This is a violation of the plan i had bought which clearly stated my validity to be till 2042. Please do something regarding this matter.
I am not the only one facing this problem. There are thousands of complaints online regarding this matter. TRAI has not done anything till now. They cannot change the rules since I as the existing customer paid for the service and I am not getting the full validity for the paid amount. Please find the screenshot below; you will see how many people are facing the same problem due to sudden fraud rules by airtel, vodafone+idea and docomo. We deserve justice as a common citizen of India.
