How a lifetime sim validity expired?

I too received similar message and called the customer care of Airtel to know the actual situation of this number, but I was very much irritated by answer given by customer care person. The summary is whatever the balance that any airtel prepaid number has with lifetime validity will not be available from 16th Dec 2018. Who gave the right to Airtel to own subscriber’s money?
This kind of plans will make the customer to hate the service providers and switch over to other network.
I also got similar message, my incoming will stop today. It was life time validity connection. Seems like airtel life has expired
I too, from last 2 month i am getting this kind of SMS, infact right now my Outgoing service has been barred. i do not know what to do.
