Text of Complaint by Sakshi:

My Airtel prepaid connection has been encountering very poor internet connection problems since yesterday evening (13 August 2020).
While it used to give around 1Mbps speed usually, it’s stuck up on a maximum of 50Kbps since yesterday.
My data pack was due to expire yesterday. I recharged today with Rs 449 pack (2GB per day for 56 days + UL calls + 100 SMS per day) but I’m still facing the same issue.
I have tried checking the mobile settings, APN settings, reinserting the sim, restarting my mobile but it has been of no help.
I have to work from home and have not been able to connect for my office since morning because of this horrible Airtel connection problem.
I tried lodging a complaint through IVR on mobile. That too has been of no help. Instead it has started spamming me with the request ID every single minute.
Please look into the issue as soon as possible and resolve it as I need to connect to my office and kids need to resume their online learning from school. Everything has been on a standstill.
It is highly irresponsible on Airtel’s part that such internet issues are not even being taken up seriously during covid times where everything has gone online.
Also, please check why I am getting the same service request message again and again with the request ID. I have received at least 50 of them by now, EVERY SINGLE MINUTE.
Another suggestion: why would you use airtel app for lodging internet connection problems from the users? Isn’t it already implied and understood that if a user is having network problems, they possibly cannot use an app for lodging complaints?
Please have a better customer complaint portal for such issues. IVR is of no help either. It just takes a generic complaint that internet is not working and the customers have literally no idea as to when and how the problem is going to be resolved. An actual customer care number where we can actually explain our problems to humans and not just an automated voice would be much helpful.

For starters, please look into the connectivity issue and get it resolved by today itself. I have already got a whole day’s work in pending and cannot afford to miss my upcoming meetings.
