I have been Airtel Postpaid customer for over 15 years. I travel to USA & other countries frequently. And whenever I leave India I make sure to turn off my India phone’s Mobile Data to OFF. I have been doing it for several years. And have done it this time too. But I received a Bill from Airtel with International Roaming charges for Mobile Data use. I have NEVER turned on my phone Data and it always has been on WiFi mode since I left India. So not sure how the International Charges have been levied.
But the most annoying and disgusting thing has been the responses I have been getting from the Nodal Officer Mr Raghunath Nagaraj from AP (nodalofficer dot andhra at in dot airtel dot com). Instead of helping with the situation he has just been making fun of me and mockery of the entire situation. I have been very patiently explaining to him the situation but he has been responding back completely in an unprofessional and unethical manner. This is totally unacceptable. Being a VP for a global company I’m having to face this kind of Abuse from Mr Raghunath/Airtel, I cannot imagine what general public are having to face from Mr Raghunath and Airtel. This is really disgusting and feels cheated that after 15 plus years I’m being treated like this. Very very unprofessional Airtel. Please do something about this and make sure people like Mr Raghunath are taught a lesson. God help us!
