Hi – I am facing the fastag issue from airtel since last one week.. I have applied and got fastag from airtel in 2019. I have used the same for multiple trips and no issues. My vehicle isĀ Ertiga.All of a sudden I had seen this message in my airtel app on fastag status ” Inactive- Vehicle Class mismatch” while I am trying to recharge in Airtel payments bank for my current trip. Logged a complaint in all forums (“Wecare”, 121 etc ) and written to top most but no response. Received a casual automated email response that it will take 7-8 working days and Saturday/Sunday excluded.Dialled 400 Customer care no but it lands in IVR and no option available to get the call transferred to Customer Approached 121 and they responded that they can’t solve this problem. Now I don’t know what to do and clueless. .Now, For no reason I am unable to use fastag purchased from airtel and is inactive now with out notification and resolution. And I am associated with airtel for 20 years using their mobile ,broad band, Fiber, fastag and what not.
I was terribly upset with the worst service of airtel in this case. And I am suffering a lot.
I couldn’t travel as planned now.

exactly, I am also facing the same issue since two months, I travelled to Hyderabad it was working fine and then all of a sudden the fastag is showing as inactive due to vehicle class mismatch, this is very annoying and the airtel authorities just don’t care even after writing to them. all the services are taken from airtel such pathetic guys. infact the airtel fastag is always loaded with money because of the travel that I have to do. but now complete chaos.
I am facing the same issue and Airtel Blames IRB for the same saying that they mentioned it as a HEAVY vehicle. Its a family car 5 seater. Call center asks for RC book and other documents.
