- Airtel post paid – cheating and fraud – incredible bills.
- I travelled to Maldives on Jan 24 th 2019. Prior to my trip I approached Airtel back end team for international roaming activation. They activated my roaming and informed my it’s a zero rental basis. Further I asked any package for calls & data , they suggested Rs 1199/- package for 10 days , 3 GB free, free incoming calls and 300 mins of free outgoing calls. I got the confirmation SMS from Airtel that Rs 1199/- 10 days package activated on my phone.
- Surprising to my knowledge after landing at Maldives I made 6 mins outgoing to call to India & 17 MB data to make Whatsapp call , after my calls I got SMS saying you are charged RS 30560/- I m shocked. I switched off my phone and waiting to confirm at Airtel office.
- Now Airtel guys says no roaming is provided at Maldives. You have to pay the bill. They barred my outgoing calls and barring my incoming calls too.. to create a tough situation to pay the bill.
- Called & approached Airtel … They are just buying time and mean while Airtel executives are calling asking for bill if not they barr my incoming calls too.
- I didn’t find any honesty and customer favour from Airtel.
- Rather not accepting their mistake they are insisting customer to pay the bill.

- Over all I can say Airtel post paid a fraud business.
- Same story happened to me 8 years back with the same country and ended up paying 26,000/-
- This time I really want file a case at consumer court.
