I switched to Airtel in Feb22. The I tail recharge of 299 INR with daily 1.5 GB of data was sufficient to see me through. On 7th Mar22, as the initial recharge exhausted, I did a recharge of 2999 INR with 2 GB data/ day.
Now, everyday by magic, at around 00:15 I receive message saying 50% of my data for that day is exhausted and by 00:30 hours 90% is exhausted. This is true even when I am not using mobile data.
Furthermore it is a real pain to reach Airtel customer service team or get a reply from them. I want Airtel to give me my money back or my Data back. Such a a fraud organization and TRAI doesn’t act on behalf of customers.

I have the same problem. It always notifies of more data consumption than is truly the case. I just recharge for 2.5 GB/day of data and right away it shows that you have 2.1 GB of data left for the rest of the day, even though I haven’t used any kind of internet for it. It just gulped 0.4 GB of data on its own. Airtel is the most fraudulent company that currently exists in India. This is what happens when the system is corrupt and these companies feel free to loot the public the way they see fit.

The same situation with me is I am using a 1.5GB Data pack, so for the past three days I am traveling, I recharge additional data 5.0GB but after recharge, I got only 5 GB only (not 7GB) and last night almost 2.0GB was balanced than 1.5GB for today now before 9 am 1.5+2.0 GB data exhausted without any usage. ( No Instagram or youtube usge ) only I am using WhatsApp and some other apps
Within 3 hours my 1.5 gb data get exhausted. Gonna stop using this Sim and never gonna recommend air
