I have a 150 Mbps plan (Airtel xstream) and the speed is always much lower than what they are promising.
The download speed is not going up to 10 Mbps on most days, like today.
I have always assumed that my flatmates could be using up the bandwidth, but this speed (attached screenshot) is when just one device is connected to the wifi.
