I got ownership of my broadband changed from my name to my wife’s name. I had already paid one year advance rental for my broadband connection with nearly 7 months remaining at the time of ownership transfer. After the transfer, my wife started receiving monthly bills and I received a bill indicating a due refund of Rs 5167/-. I was informed that I would automatically receive a refund in my account with in 3 months. However when I didn’t receive even after 4 months, I visited local Airtel store and they took cancelled cheque from me and raised a SR and confirmed that I would receive my refund in my account with in 3 days. However I didn’t receive any refund and SR was closed so I visited Airtel store again and they again raised SR. Since then I have got 5 Service requests opened which get closed without any action, made numerous long, difficult calls to 121 and every time I receive assurance. I even sent emails along with canceled cheque to 121 email id on their advice. Finally I reached out to Airtel Appellate who promised action with in 24-48 hours and it has been nearly 2 week since then and despite number of reminders no response received.
I am quite disappointed with Airtel and think I mad a big mistake by getting ownership transfer. I am planning to shift alternate ISP after this horrifying experience with Airtel and hope someone at Airtel will resolve my grievance.
