Hi,
I applied for a wifi hotspot dongle through the my airtel app. I received a call back from the sales team and shared the details of my address. He said that i will get it in 2 hours but after 24 hours i got the message that the person scheduled to deliver the dongle has cancelled the request without any reason. When i called to inquire, he stated taht there weren’t any dongles available with him. I checked with an airtel shop at palam colony location and was advised that there aren’t any 4g hotspot dongles in entire delhi region for sometime. I called the cust care and was disconnected teh first time and later I spoke th=o the supervisor “Rashmi” who gave me the number 8800088000. That number did not work. i rated an unsatisafctory surve review ad got a call back from airtel around my concern. I shared my ordeal again and was told that there is no such issue of 4g hotspot dongle unavailability. I got a call from sales team again confirming the amount i would have to pay and confirmed my address. Next day, same thing happened and airtel delivery guy first called to confirm my order and then cancelled it after 5 minutes stating “he doesn’t have any 4g hotspot dongles available!!!!”
I consider this as pure harassment from the entire airtel setup that hey blantantly cancel someone’s order without informing them and then sending them back to place it again. They should not advertise and have their sales team committ and then continuously deny them same service having little regard to the customer’s need and urgency.
