I was contacted on September 20th, 2021 by someone who claimed to be one of the outside professionals hired by Air Asia to look through my resume and told that my resume was shortlisted for Content Writer position at AirAsia. The call came from this number: +918429777527.
I was also asked to pay an amount of Rs. 2000 for background check, post which it would be refunded. He told that after the background check, there would be one telephonic interview and then job offer in Chennai based on 100% hiring. This man told me to send my photo ID to his WhatsApp number.
After reading statements issued by Air Asia in which it was informed that Air Asia does not take money for its recruitment process at any stage, I expressed my doubts to this person. He then sent me this mail ID: [email protected] and told me to send my photo ID to this. However, I did not follow through on any of the instructions. I tried to contact Air Asia through various channels, but there was no proper response anywhere.
Please take action against such scammers. I hope AirAsia would develop better support lines at least after such issues.
