Text of Complaint by Anushka Sharma:

I had booked a car (Datsun Redigo MH14FS 8376 Booking Id: ZPSN754PO) for 24th sept to 26th sept (39 hours) and paid the entire amount on the actual booking day and before the service is started. After 2 days of service being completed, I got a email to pay Rs 5000 as an ‘Inconvenience Fee’ wherein no details were mentioned as to why this has been charged and the background of it. I tried reaching them but could not connect as there is no customer care number for them and can only chat with the support where the query was not solved. Today, on 22 Nov’2022, I got a Whatsapp message from Zoomcar Legal team, asking me to pay Rs 11000 outstanding amount and failing which they will be constrained to file cibil Suit under The Code Of cibil Procedure 1908, Criminal legal proceedings under Criminal Procedure Code 1973. Simultaneously, if I check the booking history on the app it shows outstanding amount of Rs11000 and similar amount of refund pending from them which is netting off to Rs 0 liability (attaching screenshot).
There was no such agreement being signed by the latter to pay any such amount or fee. I have completed the booking as per their policy and considered all the instructions of parking and fuel. I have shared all the pictures as asked in the app once the ride was completed and everything got approved. There was an acknowledgment message as well from the owner of the car, thanking to use it appropriately. Hence, not sure what is the base for this so called ‘Inconvenience fee’ of Rs 11000 charged on me.
