I am a resident of Kolkata and we pay our electricity bill quarterly. Which normally comes within Rs. 6000 but my last quarter bill for the months of August to September amounted to Rs.15000 which is more than double the amount. I want proper enquiry and a refund of the excess charged. I more thing I would like to add here is that we should be charged according to the meter reading that shows how much electricity has been used in the previous month but here advance quarterly bills are sent which are based on predictions and not exact meter ussage which I think is just a harassment for the consumer.
