I received a call from someone saying they are phoning from world telecoms regarding a contract phone I was inquiering about. They wanted my details to see what phone I will qualify for. At some stage they asked me about a funeral plan and I declined and then about an additional benefit which I declined as well. I am only looking for a contract phone. Whithin minutes I received a bank notification from debicheck regarding a debit order for R97, I declined and minutes later I received a sms saying that my debit order is registered. I did not authorise this. I phone and they said they would cancel. I received a sms that my request to cancel my value added service has been processed but an hour later I received an sms stating my debit order has been registered and a date of deduction has been given which is not even the day my salary goes in. I see on hellopeter there is alot of people that has been scammed like this and are battling to get this debitorders stopped. They have activated that debit order without my consent and under false pretences since up to now no phone or contract was discussed. Please advise .

I was also lied to n my money is been debted since last n I’m failing to find them as the bank can’t do anything
I was also scam just because I wanted a phone not this funeral what what
Me too I was scammed by the same company I didn’t outhorised the debit order.
World Telecoms PtyLtd is also deducting money from my account under a false pretense,They called me to offer me a loan,They said it will come with Dialgard which is a value added service,
How do I stop this scam.
Please help me to stop this scammer from deducting my money
