Text of Complaint by VISHAL R. TILAK:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I purchased [BPL BFCB-1204BR 1200 mm High-Speed Ceiling Fan Brown Color] from JioMart on [07/11/22]. I placed the order on [07/11/22] and received my order on [11/11/22]. The order Id is 16678092160128564A. However, upon receiving the product, I found out it is not working & Same day I raised a return request.

After contacting customer service, I booked a return with the assurance of a refund within Seven days. After complaining about the return request, I got a call from the customer care center dated 12-11-2022 in which my complaint was rejected by saying that you did not upload the video of unboxing along with the complaint.

I told them that in your software/app there is only an option to upload images, there is no option to upload any kind of video in it and I have already uploaded two images with complaints. After knowing the software/app’s truth, they provided me with an email address and asked me to upload the video of the unboxing to that email.

I sent the video of the unboxing along with the details of my complaint in the email provided on 13-11-2022. After providing the video of the unboxing, the same day I received an email with a complaint number (Ticket Number: 6683457735) along with a written assurance that my complaint would be resolved within 48 hours.

My complaint has not been resolved even after a lapse of 48 hours. I called customer care once again to update the status of my complaint, I got another assurance to resolve the issue within the next 48 hours. The process continues like this after that. I call customer care after every 48 hours and once again I get a promise to resolve my complaint in the next 48 hours.

Neither 48 hours of Jiomart is being completed nor anyone is contacting me till today i.e., date 23-11-2022 no solution has been found. Nor has there been any change in the status of my complaint. I just call and I am promised the next 48 hours. only this is going on for the last more than 10 days.

I need to mention that I am utterly disappointed with this kind of response and behavior from a reputed company like yours. I chose your portal due to its on-time delivery, high quality, and customer support.

But this issue has bothered me. I didn’t expect this kind of product from JioMart, and also the issue of wasting my money and time on such faulty products. I request you to take back your product at the earliest and solve my problem by refunding my money to me.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in the future. I am looking forward to having your response soon with a solution.

    Even after so many complaints and contracting Jiomart many times, when I did not get any solution from the company, I registered my complaint on 23-11-2022 at https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/.
    Within 24 hours of registering the complaint, I get a call from Jio Mart, the caller introduces himself as a senior from the customer care department. And asks me about my problem. Let me describe in detail each and every incident that happened from 07-11-2022 to 23-11-2022. After listening to my incident, they promised to fix the problem at the earliest.
    Given my earlier bad experience with jiomart of such promises, I asked them are you not giving me the same assurance of 48 or 72 hours that other people in your department have given. And their 48 hours are not being completed for the last 11 days. On this, he said that I am not giving you any time period, but I promise you that I will solve this problem as soon as possible. When a senior officer of such a big reputed company talks like this, then once again trust has to be made and I also believed him.
    But I did not know that all the employees working in this company whether junior or senior make empty promises to the customers, after that they neither solve the customer’s problem nor contact the customer, the same happened to me.
    Once again after waiting for the next 6 days when there was no response from you, I thought to contact you to know the status update of my complaint. And I called customer care from where I came to know that the status of my complaint is the same as it was on 12-11-2022.
    The call attending person told me that they cannot take back the product but did not give any reason. They said that they have filed a complaint for repair and an engineer will come and repair your product within 72 hours. And he issues me another ticket number which is as follows 6697890488 Date: 30-11-2022
    I have seen this type of company for the first time in my life. that sells a new product to the customer, then deliver a defective product after receiving payment, then harasses the customer for more than two weeks despite timely complaints And guarantees to repair the defective product sent in the name of customer care at a later date.
    I want to ask you that if you charge customers for new products then why do you give them bad products? Is this the company’s new way of selling a bad product?

    Every 10 to 15 days, Jiomart customer care suddenly remembers the complaint made by the customer. Maybe they get so many complaints from customers that it takes them 10 to 15 days to respond to each one. It may also be that they have fewer means of service, which makes it difficult for them to provide timely solutions, resulting in some customers’ problems taking months to resolve.
    The same thing is happening to me too. My problem has been ongoing for more than 75 days, and I don’t see any hope. Once again, after seeing my unresolved complaint, Siddhi madam from Jiomart called from 022-79671625. The whole story was once again explained to Siddhi Madam on date 13-01-2023 at the telephone number 022-79671625. In response to his request, I sent the unboxing video along with the image of the product “BPL BFCB-1204BR 1200 mm High-Speed Ceiling Fan Brown Color” on his WhatsApp number 091378 96247.
    Note: – All information related to the product including images and unboxing video has been provided to Jiomart through emails dated 13-11-2022, 23-11-2022, and 30-11-2022 as well as through consumer-court. (My personal experience suggests Jiomart tortures customers by asking the same question repeatedly)
    Siddhi madam had also promised to resolve this problem as soon as possible, like other JIOMART employees. Since that day, neither they nor the rest of JIOMART’s employees have been contacted again, nor has this problem been resolved.
    At 5.55 pm today, 28-01-2023, I received a call from JIOMART CC number 022-79671626. The caller did not tell me his name but he made a strange demand on me, he asked me for a video of the not working product “BPL BFCB-1204BR 1200mm High-Speed Ceiling Fan Brown Color”, i.e. I have to call an electrician, and he fit the product and shoots a video of a button on and off, once this video has been submitted, it will be reviewed by the expert staff members at JIOMART CC
    It is not likely that this problem will be solved after this, maybe after that, he will call and demand another new video. There is still drama in this story. They do drama of product exchange, the drama of sending to the technician, sometimes they ask for an image of the product, sometimes they ask for a video of the unboxing, and now they are asking for a video of the product not working.
    As this product has a 2-year warranty, I told the great employee who called that whenever I encounter a problem, I would have to make a video and send it to you. I told the great employee who called that this product has a warranty of 2 years, so at the time of every problem, will I have to make a video of the problem like this and send it to you. This means I need to take a course in video making and product troubleshooting. Due to the fact that I am neither an engineer nor a video maker. This means before ordering any product from Jiomart we need to do video-making and troubleshooting training.
    Having a big company employee behave in such a manner while giving service to a customer would be a matter of shame for any company, but perhaps it is a matter of pride for JIOMART. It is for this reason that they behave in this manner with their customers.
    I am also waiting and watching to what extent JioMart’s service goes. When the call comes again from Jio Mart, let’s see what kind of service they provide to their customers, after all.
