I have requested airtel SIM for my elderly parents phone number. Airtel has indicated that the number is discontinued and customer is asked to travel to Delhi to collect a SIM. I have explained repeatedly that we have relocated to Bengaluru and my parents cannot travel to Delhi amidst pandemic situation. MY PARENTS ARE ELDERLY AND NEED THE NUMBER AS ALL THEIR ID AND BANK CARDS ARE LINKED TO THAT NUMBER. WE HAVE NO BLOOD RELATIONS IN DELHI.
MY PARENTS OR WE CANNOT TRAVEL TO DELHI DURING LOCKDOWN. HOW CAN AIRTEL BE SO INCONSIDERATE TO SEND US REPETITIVE EMAILS AND NO RESOLUTION. VERY EASILY THE SIM CAN BE GENERATED AND POSTED TO OUR ADDRESS IN BENGALURU IF THE INTENT WAS TO HELP.
HOWEVER IT IS CLEAR AIRTEL CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL ONLY HARASS CUSTOMERS AND ESPECIALLY SENIOR CITIZENS. WHO WILL BE RESPONSIBLE IF WE CONTRACT INFECTION IN TRAVEL TO DELHI AS SUGGESTED FOR AN AIRTEL SIM?
